Since 2009, the Center for Global Strategies (CGS) has been actively engaged in promoting economic development, exchanges, and goodwill in the Balkans region.  One area of focus has been equipping business leaders with the tools and understanding necessary for successful engagement in business with integrity.  In October, 2009, Ken Ferris, Jonathan Moreno and several other CGS leaders held a marketplace conference in Sofia, Bulgaria, with over 50 Bulgarian and Macedonian leaders in attendance.  This was an exciting time for the inspiration of new ideas, exchanging experiences between the US and Europe, and sharing knowledge for success.  The relationships formed from the conference continue, and feedback is being given on individual bases for business and community development strategies.  CGS looks forward to increasing emphasis in Europe and the Balkans within the next year.
