Dakar, June 2025.
For a full week, Steve Jones, CGS Board member, and two businessmen from Ohio, David Miller and Rex Easley, conducted a week long Finance seminar in Dakar, Senegal. CGS partnered with Connecting Leadership Resources (CLR), who provides business coaching and business seminars in Senegal. There were 18 participants representing 15 different businesses. Topics discussed were cash flow forecasting, negotiation, capital formation, and business planning.
Participant Dr. Lisa Diallo, Founder and CEO of Likak Research, stated: "This seminar was so impactful for both my personal life as we as my business. The theme of being proactive in managing our finances is a game changer. I now have the knowledge and tools to analyze the data and make informed financial decisions. David Miller, President of DTM Advisors, who presented at the seminar commented: “We had a very full class of business owners studying Finance for executives. The students were exceptionally engaged in the classroom discussions, and during the visits to their businesses, they posed many specific and insightful questions to the instructors. Topics discussed during the visits included, pricing, dashboards, how to understand their financial statements and matters which were important to them.”
